Premier League: 2020/21 EPL Table Predictions

Image
Nobody can pretend that the start of the Premier League season hasn't been a tad surprising, what with City dropping as low as thirteenth and West Brom managing to stay out of the relegation zone. Other shocks, such as Liverpool's injury crisis, may not be too well represented in the table, but shocks such as these are becoming fairly frequent.  If you have been following England's first division during the Premier League Era, you likely know of the elements of unpredictability and excitement it is famous for, with shocks such as Leicester City's title win, the Invincibles and, until recently, Liverpool's painful streak that involved 16 top four places in 27 seasons without a single title victory. So yes, about 90 per cent of these are probably wrong, but you never know... 1: Liverpool FC  Yes, I am predicting the Reds to protect their title this season. Top of the table at the point I am writing this, I think Liverpool will receive plenty of competition this year,

Top Five Harry Potter Characters Who Weren't in the Movies

Image
The Harry Potter Franchise is epic. That is it. Full stop. When the movies were made, quite a few characters were deemed less important and sidelined. There were many reasons for this, ranging from financial issues to practical problems. But lets check out the coolest characters who never made a single movie appearance. Who did I miss out on? Comment below. 5: The Gaunts The Gaunts are a family descended from some of the most famous and powerful families in the world, namely the Peverells and Slytherins. The father of the family, Marvolo, is driven mad by this history and it is all he ever thinks about. His son, Morfin, is a Parselmouth and he, too, is mad as a hatter. Merope Gaunt is frequently oppressed by her father and brother, who think she is an undeserving Squib. She brews a love potion to make a local Muggle, Tom Riddle, fall in love with her, and this relationship ends in the birth of Tom Riddle Jr., who later becomes Lord Voldemort himself. Sadly, most of the pensieve scenes

Harry Potter: 3 Unheard Fan Theories that Just Might be True

Image
Hi guys! I know it's been quite long since I posted something on Harry Potter, but that is because a few ideas fell through. If any of you have ideas, it would help me hugely if you would please comment them below so I can try to make a post on one of them. However, I'm never short on theories, and today I will (in depth) explain three super plausible ones that seem to fill all the holes perfectly. For more epic theories you can check out my Top Five Plausible Harry Potter Theories you've Never Heard Before, or my post that links to that first list on Ekrizdis.  And PS, all these theories are made by me, so all are highly, if not explicitly, original. Let's go. 1: The Sorting Hat's Revenge I may have already done a Sorting Hat theory, but as so much about the Sorting Hat is shrouded in mystery there are many little questions you have to ask about the singing sorcerer-sorter. The things we will be addressing today are the problems with where people are sorted, such a

2019/20 Season: 1st World VI

Hello again. I'm doing something a little different today, but I hope any soccer fans out there thoroughly enjoy this list, although please understand that this is entirely my opinion and you can leave any of your thoughts in the comment section below. I will be using a 4-2-3-1 formation, just to clear up any confusion. I am also sincerely sorry to anyone who feels that the team is unfairly dominated by two teams, but as these two are (I feel) currently the world's best, and both achieved great heights in the recent season of football, I felt they deserved to take more places than any other teams. These are not necessarily the most talented, but the eleven who had the best season. Let's kickoff!  CF: Robert Lewandowski Easily the most obvious decision of the lot, our much-loved late-blooming CF has enjoyed the best season of his life, and would have been the obvious choice for the Ballon d'Or had it not been cancelled. Lewandowski won and was top scorer in the DFB-Pokal

Heroes of Olympus: Argo II Crew Ranked

Image
In my opinion Rick Riordan's best ever series, the Heroes of Olympus is an 5-book thriller that is a signature Rick Riordan combination of myths, action and comedy. To be clear, I am only focusing on the 'official' Argo II crew, so no Coach Hedge, Nico di Angelo or Buford the Table. Also this contains MAJOR SPOILERS for anyone who hasn't read Percy Jackson, Heroes of Olympus, Magnus Chase or Trials of Apollo 1-4, as this is focused on the lives of the characters over the course of their entire lives, not just the amount of time covered by the series.  And finally, these rankings are based mostly on character, so as not to put less-used characters such as Hazel and Frank at a disadvantage compared to the most famous and used characters such as Percy or Annabeth. With that out of the way, let's do this. 7: Jason Grace Jason Grace is definitely more of a 'least-liked' than a 'most-hated' character for me, but he was the by far the easiest to place. He&#

Short Story: The Crossroads

The road parted and it was hard to know which way to go. The rain was coming down hard now, and I was soaking wet. I glanced towards the map in my hand, but the raindrops speckled all over the lenses of my glasses made it impossible to see anything more than blurs and colours. I recalled that Esmeralda had described the path as "dark and overgrown", so I headed towards the left, the one that fitted Esmeralda's description best. I didn't see the ominous black gates opened widely like the doors of one of the rat traps used back home in England. I headed down the unlit path, occasionally walking head-first into an unruly tree branch. I finally came to a dark old castle. Was this the inn? It looked well kept, so I approached the castle and knocked loudly on the large oak-wood doors. A tall, pale man, who's skin was contrasted drastically by his black clothes and jet-black hair, opened it. "Good evening, sir. Is this the - err - Inn," I asked, unsure of the n
