Pep Guardiola: The Best Fraud

Image
To clear it up, Pep Guardiola is a very good manager. Under certain conditions he is amazing. I am merely trying to prove why he is NOT anywhere near the best ever manager. Solely in the Premier League Thomas Tuchel and Brendan Rodgers are as good and Jurgen Klopp is better. I will look at older criticisms, but I actually have some more insightful criticisms I haven't seen made to look at. So without further ado, let's go!  Nothing Revolutionary  When has Pep Guardiola done the unexpected. At the beginning he was at Barca B. He won the fourth division of Spanish football. This was a division they hadn't been in for over a quarter of a century, and like Fulham in the Championship they were expected to win. And can anyone honestly tell me that the likes of Ralph Hasenhuttl, Graham Potter or even Steve Bruce couldn't win the Spanish fourth division with the best team in the division. And you might say "Oh, he was a new manager! He had no experience!" The likes of...

Which Position EVERY Premier League Team Needs To Strengthen NOW

Image
Some are obvious and some - not so much. As such, this is going to be a pretty research-heavy post, so please do consider following and subscribing-to my blog, as well as on my relevant social medias. I really pour my heart and soul into these, so informing those close to you about this blog would really help me to achieve relevance. While I don't plan on quitting any time soon, I would ultimately like to make a career out of this so that I can continue for years to come, and spreading the message with even one or two other people would really assist my cause. In today's post I will be pointing out which position every Premier League team needs to strengthen before the transfer window slams shut. I hope you enjoy! Arsenal: Central Midfield I originally thought that maybe I would go for center back. Left back could also do with some strengthening. I really couldn't decide what to go with - until I looked at the roster that is. You would expect your standard Premier League te...

The Four Premier League 2021/22 Title Contenders: Evaluation & Head on Head Match-Up

Image
The Premier League is famous for its upsets and underdog stories. It has had 5 different clubs as Champions in the last 9 seasons, 3 of whom have one more than once and including a run of 4 different ones in 4 consecutive seasons. With regards to the rest of Europe's top 5 leagues, 3 different teams have won La Liga, 3 in Ligue Un (although PSG have won 7), 2 in Serie A (8 having been Juventus) and only a single team has won the Bundesliga, with Bayern dominating throughout that time frame.  This makes the league really fun to watch, but it is also really hard to pick a winner because of it. I have, however, whittled it down to 4 teams who would win the league fairly unsurprisingly. While I think if Leicester can hold on to Tielemans they could have an outside shot at winning, I would be greatly surprised if the next champion was not Chelsea, Liverpool or either of the two Manchester clubs. I will first do a short team evaluation, and then move on to the player-by-player analysis, ...

Rating Every PL Clubs' 2021-22 Home Kit

Image
While Burnley, Crystal Palace and Watford have not yet released their home kits, I am going to do this post I have been itching to make for quite long anyway. I'm going to be looking through the 2021/22 Home Kits and rating them from 1-10, with 5 being average. I have a feeling these kits are going to have an average of below 5, since quite a few are quite horrific. Despite this, however, I hope you enjoy. Arsenal: 7 I like this kit, and only really have one major critique: those three dark blue lines on the shoulder and the dark-blue collar. Firstly, it looks like something Manchester United would do, and secondly, the color doesn't go with it do well. I think the shirt would need to be a darker shade of red for it to work. Other than that though, pretty nice kit.  Aston Villa: 2 The pattern looks like something I would make if I was told to draw the pattern on a Scottish Kilt from memory. It looks like they ran out of blue for the sleeves and just randomly patched it up with ...

Every Club's Best Player Who Will Leave This Summer

Image
Hello everyone, and welcome to my first post to come after the conclusion of the season. While I was slightly satisfied with a third-place finish after a pretty abysmal season for Liverpool, no person who isn't a City fan (so pretty much everyone, it's not called the Emptihad for nothing) is royally ticked off about City winning their third title in four years. And they're in a Champions League Final, which only took about ten years and over A BILLION DOLLARS . Yes, you heard that right, a billion dollars. And that's only in transfers, so wages, lawyers and bribes don't count. Anyhow, let's delve into this list before I start a fifty-paragraph essay on why I hate them and, while I can at least respect the likes of Manchester United and Everton, I cannot find any reason to respect City. This list will only consist of players who are currently permanently contracted to the club, and will be departing permanently. Manchester City: AngeliƱo  For Manchester City it w...
