Every Big Six Clubs' Most UNTOUCHABLE Player

Image
I, like many football fans, was watching the Europa League last night, specifically the United-Roma game. It was a very good match to watch, but something bothered me. In the 69th minute Rashford ran to the byline inside the box, before fizzing a cross just behind Cavani, who tried to rabona-flick it into the corner, but failed to make contact. It was a hard shot to score but he looked dismayed - that is until Smalling's late challenge left him writhing in pain. After a VAR check the penalty was awarded and the referee pointed to the spot. I just thought Wow, that's a hattrick for Cavani. He was already on a brace, and was also the one to draw the foul. It was his penalty to take. However, I was surprised not to see even a suggestion of this as Penandes stepped up to take the penalty. This really annoyed me, because it just proves that at United not even the most experienced players who've enjoyed the most spectacular careers, such as Cavani, can question his authority. So

London Combined Eleven

Image
We have already seen one for Manchester, so why not London? The city is home to six  of the current Premier League Clubs - namely Arsenal, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Tottenham and West Ham - and these will be the clubs I will be selecting from. With this abundance of potential players, please understand that it will be very unlikely that your and my team sheets look the same, and please feel free, therefore to politely leave your thoughts down below in the comments. Without further ado, let's get into the list. Goalkeeper: Hugo Lloris Goalkeeper is definitely the most evenly-matched position here, and I could honestly have gone for any of the other 5 shot-stoppers. However, I think Lloris is more experienced and dependable than the trio of Leno, Mendy and Areola, and simply of a slightly higher caliber when compared to Guaita or FabiaƄski. Another thing going in his favor is leadership abilities, but in reality, they are all very similar, and if this were an actual team it mi

Heroes of Olympus: Top 5 Best Side Characters

Image
I recently finished the Heroes of Olympus series for the seventh time, and as I haven't done a book post recently I thought I would try to do a post on the series while it is still fresh on my mind. But football posts are easier to think of, and I've spent quite a bit of time thinking about what this post should be. But then at school one of my friends who was considering reading the series asked me about the protagonists to see if he found them interesting. I told him there were seven, but then remembered all the other characters, some of whom even get chapters written from their perspective, and this train of thought eventually led to the idea of discussing some of the "side" characters, or anyone who wasn't one of the demigods the Prophecy of Seven spoke of. This list is a top five (although two inclusions include two characters who are, in my eyes, intertwined) along with a few honorable mentions. This list is based on how interesting I find the characters, no

Greater Manchester Combined XI

Image
Hello to everybody present. My Manchester combined XI was always only going to include players from the top two clubs in Manchester; Rochdale and Wigan Athletic from League One. Oh wait, League One is actually England's third tier. Yeah, that makes sense. But jokes aside, we are only going to be including players from Manchester United & City because I don't think the Republic of Ireland's best ever defender, Paul McShane, is better than England's most effective refrigerator, Harry Maguire, and sadly doesn't even win the biggest meme award due to Phil Jones and JLingz (sorry to any Irish viewers out there). Well after that rather terrible tangent, let's get to the eleven. Goalkeeper: Ederson This man must really hate Alisson Becker, because if Alisson didn't exist he would be thought of as the best in both Brazil and the Prem. He beats David de Gea and Dean Henderson fairly comfortably to take the number one, or rather thirty-one, shirt. Left-Back: Luke

Every Premier League Manager: Ranked

Image
Just to clear things up, this list is on current ability in my opinion, so while I will take managerial achievements into account, these achievements will not be a real deciding factor. I think that makes it more interesting, because if we went by achievement alone it will basically be Guardiola, Klopp, Mourinho and Ancelotti followed by the oldest to youngest managers. Please feel free to comment your thoughts and opinions below, and I will do my best to answer them, although please understand that I probably won't see your comment if it is not made within 1 or 2 weeks of this post's publication. The order is from worst to best. With that in mind, let's get into it. 20: Paul Heckingbottom Easiest pick of the bunch. Wilder should never have been sacked, especially when there was no good back-up option. I get that Sheffield United were (and still are) rooted to the bottom of the Premier League, but sacking the only man who could possibly keep you up was never the right optio
