Top 5 Plausible Harry Potter Theories You've NEVER Heard Before

How can I be sure that these theories are completely unheard of ? Probably because all of these theories are completely original and created by me! Take a look at this blend of theories, from gut-wrenching to satisfying to mildly confusing and have your mind blown away...

1: Salazar's Plan

Salazar Slytherin was a detestable wizard who despised Muggle-Born witches and wizards. He left behind the Chamber of Secrets, but what if he left something else to help his descendants rid the school of all who were not Pure-Bloods.

The theory goes that when he and the other founders were bewitching the Sorting Hat, he added a little something to stop the hat from proclaiming evil youngsters such as Tom Riddle as evil. As he could see all inside the heads of those he sorted, he must have been able to single out troublemakers for who they really were and demand that they could not gain power through education. He should also have been able to identify many other problematic things contained in your mind, and if the hat was indeed good, evil could be rooted out from the start....

2: Ekrizdis' Diet

Unfortunately, this is less theory, more fact. As we all know, humans need a few things to survive, including nutrients from food and the water contained in liquids. Ekrizdis, a dark wizard, (for more info check out my top five evilest wizards list) lived alone on his lifeless island, except for the Muggle sailors that he captured for experiments.

As far as we figure, these sailors were NOT catch and release. As he had nothing else to eat, it is pretty plausible that, once these sailors had died from this experimentation, they ended up as food for there torturer.... It fits, because, from the stories of Ekrizdis, we can clearly tell that he was a complete loon, and an evil one at that.

3: Gellert's Soft Spot

One of the most famous wizarding duels in history was the one between Gellert Grindelwald and Albus Dumbledore. But this theory goes that Grindelwald didn't actually WANT to defeat Dumbledore, and didn't try his best. There is a good reason behind this theory and here it is: Grindelwald had the ELDER WAND, meaning he couldn't loose a duel if he actually tried!

Now there could be many reasons for this, but I have picked out the one that is most plausible. So, as most Potterheads would know, Grindelwald and Dumbledore became best friends for a period of time after they met at Godric's Hollow.

Dumbledore fell in love with Grindelwald, but what if the feeling was mutual? What if Grindelwald fell in even deeper love with Dumbledore than Dumbledore did with him, and for this reason that he simply could not fight him. This explains why he disliked Aberforth, he was simply jealous, and why he was so devastated after Ariana's death. Or maybe I'm just related to Rita Skeeter, but I'm pretty sure I'm not.

3: Horcrux Mania

As so much mystery surrounds Ekrizdis, here is another theory about him. His most notable creation is Dementors, but no-one knows how or why they were created. Was it merely an accident? I think not. JK Rowling has said that Voldemort created the most Horcruxes of any wizard, but what if this isn't true? Voldemort split his soul into only seven, and we saw those horrible side effects.

It is possible, however, that Ekrizdis, who was completely mad, created a Horcrux out of each of his captured sailors. I would guess they would have become similar to Harry (also a Horcrux), but maybe Ekrizdis, intentionally or unintentionally, took it too far. What if he split his soul so many times that he became 100s of semi-conscious versions of himself. All these Horcruxes became Dementors.

Like Voldemort, he, and once he was completely split up his Dementors too, learnt how to fly. This also fits with the previous theory, as Dementors' appearances seem both semi-eaten and cursed. It also fits with Dementors being thought impossible to kill, as only a few things can kill them, and there madness and desire for death are likely from their creator himself. I will try to publish a more detailed piece on this, so watch out for that.

5: Stanley Shunpike is Evil

One of the biggest problems from Harry Potter is how Harry didn't see the thestrals before book five, after the death of Cedric Diggory. JK Rowling created an acceptable argument for why the death of his parents didn't cause him to see them, and many people have accepted this and moved on. However, Harry does indeed witness the death of Quirinus Quirrell in book 1. In fact, he killed him!

JK Rowling has not explained this, but what if there is a reason for this: Quirrell did not die. Harry may have passed out after the death of Quirrell in the books, but in the movie a black swirl of a substance resembling smoke flew around the room after Quirrell's "death". This swirl bears an striking resemblance to how the Death Eaters often entered scenes, and Quirrell was a Death Eater, at least to some extent.

He was a powerful wizard, and it is entirely possible that he took control of another in a similar way to Voldemort after his body was destroyed. It is likely that he convinced another to follow the Dark Lord, and to share his body. And, after some thought, Stan Shunpike seems the most obvious choice. He was a gullible youth, like Quirrell had been.

Stan always wore an overlarge conductor hat, and always seemed "kinda sus" after the third book, where he likely hadn't yet met Quirrell. Of course, he was supposed to have been under the Imperious curse, and that is why he turned, but I find three problems with this: firstly, it was not confirmed, secondly, he didn't have the correct symptoms, and thirdly, why would Voldemort Imperious him. I find this theory particularly intriguing, and please leave your thoughts of it in the comment section below.
