Five Harry Potter Characters Who Are REALLY Similar To a Real Life Person

JK Rowling's masterpieces, the Harry Potter series, are both hugely influential and heavily influenced. Many characters are inspired by myths or real people. And in other cases the brilliant characters inspired others. Or maybe it's just a complete coincidence. Who knows! Let's check out my top five characters who REALLY ARE just like someone in the real world.

1: Fenrir Greyback; Vlad the Impaler

I know what you're thinking. 'Oh Noah, don't you know the difference between a werewolf and a vampire.' Yes, I know Vlad inspired Count Dracula, while Fenrir is a werewolf, but despite the difference with the two creatures, and the fact that Vlad's vampire tales are likely highly fictionalized, the two blood-sucking humanoids shared many traits.

The two vile leaders commanded huge armies, acted mainly at night and, of course, had a taste for blood. They killed for fun, and both phsycos used some of the most treacherous methods to lead their armies to victory. The surprisingly intelligent madmen will go down as some of the most purely evil beings ever to walk the face of the earth in their respective universes.

2: Hermione Granger; Emma Watson

It is indeed a brilliant coincidence that the very same actress to play Hermione would go along with her to become a very similar human being. Emma and Hermione both evolved into a pretty young woman, but someone who was the complete opposite of a damsel in distress and 'til today hold there own perfectly well thank you very much.

Both were held back from their respective educations for some or other reason, but both went on to complete it, Hermione doing it without Ron or Harry and Emma without Rupert and Daniel. They both hide a good brain behind a pretty face and  are extremely involved in the rights of the oppressed, one representing House Elves, the other women (I think you can guess which is which).

3: Voldemort; Caligula

Truthfully, Voldemort is similar to many Roman kings and Emperors, but the maddest and most power-hungry was easily Caligula. Both were closest, some would say, to an animal who they seemed to communicate with (Nagini the snake and Incitatus the horse).

The two both despised their names, Voldemort's (Tom) a reminder of his Muggle father and Caligula's a childhood nickname meaning little boots. Most of all, both were evil, power-hungry phsycos, who were driven by a hate for their fathers, but, after a lot of devastation, were both brought to justice in the end because of their murderous wishes.

4: Albus Dumbledore; James Baldwin

These two kindly characters are each a hugely important figure in their respective worlds. Both faced extreme hardship from a young age, and both were gay, and as both lived most of their lives at a time where gayness was frowned upon, they found it harder to be noticed for good rather than bad and were often a bit lonely.

However, these proud men rose above all this and became world-renowned heroes. They both lived for a good amount of time and often acted against unfairness. The articulate and charming men will be remembered for hundreds of generations to come.

5: Colin and Dennis Creevey; You and Me!

Yip, it makes sense that Rowling, hopefully subconsciously or as a joke, modeled these two rabid Harry Potter fans after us rabid Harry Potter fans. We are sure an eager and overwhelming lot, and we could easily be the inspiration behind these unintentionally hilarious characters!

So that's it for today. Hope you liked it! Please subscribe to be updated when I post new wacky ideas and see you next time!-Noah
